I am an opinionated 24 year old from Birmingham, England with a passion for art and design. I’m currently working in a web communications department for a large organisation in my home town. Although I really like my job, my goal is to become a freelance designer, and possibly establish my own studio one day.

Personality-wise I’m can be a bit turbulent. I have a terrible temper and I can get very passionate about things if I’m caught in the moment - typical Scorpio some zodiac-buffs might say.

I love to be the centre of attention, and I have a knack for being able to get what I want and getting other people to do things for me. As I’ve said previously I’m very opinionated, and I enjoy nothing more than a good old fashioned rant - I get easily enraged, but it usually blows over pretty quickly.

I have quite a blunt sense of humour usually revolving around scathing sarcasm or cutting remarks… but only when I think I can get away with it! I use humour to help me deal with insecurities and awkward situations, and it usually works, but I’m a good listener and I can usually dish out pretty good advice when required.

My favourite activities involve slobbing out if front of the TV, watching endless repeats, or getting blind drunk and beating all my friends at Singstar, or saving their lives on Rockband!

I Like rock music, but I’m open to other genres, animated movies, dark fantasy, psychological survival horror games, powerful digital art and graphic design, amateur photography, Japanese dolls, coffee table art books, Courtney Love, ancient manga and Harry Potter.

I used to be a pretty active gamer, but I don’t really have as much time for that now - the only game I’ve really enjoyed recently is Viva Pinata for the Xbox 360.

I have a keen interest in Japanese culture and language, an interest that is nothing to do with anime or manga - unlike so many other otaku-wannabee’s. Its more the traditional culture and folklore that has captured my interest, and I am planning to study it at University as soon as my language skills are up to speed.

I can speak basic Japanese, which helped me bumble my way round the country last spring, where I developed a taste for Tonkatsu, Kare Raisu, green tea ice cream and Unagi.

I hate rudeness in people, and the undeserved arrogance which unfortunately is rife in the professional design community.

I loathe racism, it’s unnecessary and ignorant beyond belief. I hate sexism, homophobia and the appalling greed of human beings… I also find boastful environmentalists/vegetarians/vegans very irritating.

I don’t like mayonnaise or any kind of fruit (with the possible exception of apples), I hate insects, and children annoy me (I don’t want any). And that’s about it…
